The side mounted unit has been specifically designed by Sayell Equipment for blackcurrant growers.
The hydraulically driven circular saw cuts away the side branches. Only the lower branches are removed as the crop divider keeps the fruiting wood away from the blade. The blade is kept away from any potential damage from contact with the soil by a foot skid. Cutting takes place at an average speed of 3.5 to 4 kph.
